With the SICK Science Award, the Gisela and Erwin Sick Foundation annually honours outstanding scientific achievements in the form of final theses and doctorates of individual graduates and doctoral candidates that can be assigned to the research areas of the KIT Information Centre ∙ Systems ∙ Technologies (KCIST). Both basic and application-oriented work can be awarded. The SICK Science Award is endowed with € 3,000 per call per year for the best final thesis and € 7,000 for the best doctorate. One prizewinner per category will be awarded. |

Selection procedureThe prizewinner is selected by an expert jury consisting of members of the KCIST.

The prizes will be awarded at an event to be named by KCIST, possibly at the respective KIT faculty (a KIT centre is cross-faculty).
