Learning and Application Center Mechatronics

The KIT has set itself the goal of becoming one of the most inspiring places for academic education in Europe. To this end, we want to further develop our campus in order to offer students optimal conditions for successful studies. The establishment of the Mechatronics Learning and Application Center is an essential element in this context. Novel teaching concepts, a functionally optimized space for student learning and working, and a project-oriented infrastructure give this project a unique national selling point. The center is to be completed by 2019. 

The current short film "Learning and Applying Mechatronic Product Development" gives you a small insight into the work of the Institute of Product Development and the Institute of Control Systems at KIT: In the course "Mechatronic Systems and Products", students get to know important steps in the design of robot systems, from the idea to the test, and gain practical experience, also beyond their specialized knowledge.
